Tasting Notes:

Deep crimson red with a dark centre. Showing intense blackberry and currant with a hint of liquorice spice and mint. Wonderful backbone and structure, well rounded palate featuring fleshy plums, currants and hints of mint. Delicious and easy drinking, the oak is spicy but not in a dominant way. Balance and poise best describe the fruit, acid, oak and tannin balance. Ample, smooth and moreish.

Technical:

Coonawarra is Australia’s finest region to grow one of the worlds most popular varieties, Cabernet Sauvignon. Sourced from three vineyards in Coonawarra with soil types being a mixture of sand over limestone perfectly suited to growing cool climate Cabernet Sauvignon. The fruit is picked then fermented in a combination of open and closed vessels to maximise colour and flavour, then matured in predominately French oak barrique barrels for 12 months prior to bottling.
