"It is always interesting to see varietal mourvèdre, and this is a very deep, plush and luscious example. Rich blackberry and mulberry flavours with the intensity centred on the mid-palate, and savouriness on the finish. Though there is also refreshing bright acidity which gives the wine a lift. I love the complex tannin network that gently frames the fruit. Don't be afraid to give the wine plenty of air, and use a large glass to release its true character."

"A delight to drink really. One of those wines I'd rather happily sip away than ponder the thought of a review. But alas, here we are writing about this beauty we have on our hands.   The use of older oak has certainly ensured the fruit bounds along. Attractive purple and blue fruit aromas are woven between aniseed and mulberries. Some earthiness lurches forward with a tap of minerality. Dried herbs raise their hand before long too. Exotic spices and dashes of pepper move along at ease. Drying to finish, almost puckering, before tight acidity wraps up a neat package urging another sip. Superb!  Certified organic and biodynamic.  Drink now to eight years."

"Deep red with a good tint of purple, the aroma fumey and woodsy, fairly savoury, with a hint of super-ripeness. A rustic, full-bodied wine with flesh, density and grip, but going further than simple varietal fruit personality. It has good extract and could repay a little time in the cellar - though doesn't really need it. There's good richness, weight and flesh as well as drinkability.
