Tasting Notes:

The Taylors Wines Estate Label Shiraz 2023 is a polished and generously flavoured South Australian Shiraz that combines ripe fruit richness with soft structure and exceptional drinkability. Sourced from premium vineyards across the Clare Valley and Limestone Coast, this highly awarded release reflects the balance, consistency and regional character that have helped establish Taylors as one of Australia’s most recognised and internationally awarded wineries.

Matured in American oak for 12 months before bottling, the wine displays a deep dark red colour with vibrant ruby hues. The bouquet is expressive and inviting, revealing aromas of dark plum, redcurrant and ripe red cherry layered with subtle chocolate and gentle oak-derived spice. On the palate, the wine is plump, smooth and fruit-driven, delivering generous flavours of plum, cherry and redcurrant supported by hints of mocha coffee, vanilla oak and delicate aniseed complexity.

Medium-bodied in style, it offers a soft, rounded mid-palate with fine tannin structure and excellent texture, allowing the ripe fruit and oak integration to remain beautifully balanced throughout. The finish is long, approachable and satisfying, making this a Shiraz that is equally suited to immediate enjoyment or medium-term cellaring under ideal conditions.

This standout release has achieved significant international recognition, including an impressive 95-point rating at the New World Wine Awards, alongside 2 International Double Gold Medals and 8 International Gold Medals, confirming its quality and broad appeal on the global stage.

Ideal with chargrilled steak, roast lamb, barbecue dishes, slow-cooked beef, gourmet sausages or mature cheddar, this Shiraz delivers richness, warmth and versatility in classic Australian style.
