The Taylors Wines Estate Label Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 is a polished and richly expressive South Australian Cabernet that combines classic varietal character with the refinement and consistency that have made Taylors one of Australia’s most respected family-owned wineries. Established in 1969 in the Clare Valley along the banks of the Wakefield River, the Taylor family has built a global reputation for producing wines that balance traditional vineyard practices with modern winemaking precision — a pedigree reflected beautifully in this highly awarded release.

Crafted from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon fruit sourced across the Clare Valley and Limestone Coast, the wine was fermented under temperature-controlled conditions before maturing for up to 14 months in French oak barrels, allowing the fruit, tannin and oak to integrate seamlessly. In the glass, it displays a deep red colour with vibrant purple hues, opening with lifted aromas of ripe plum, blackberry and cassis layered with violets, dried herbs and subtle black pepper spice. Notes of leather, tobacco and cedar emerge through the oak maturation, adding complexity and sophistication.

The palate is generous yet beautifully structured, flowing with ripe red and dark berry fruit alongside hints of dark chocolate and savoury spice. Fine-grained Cabernet tannins provide the wine with classic line, length and definition, while balanced fruit sweetness and carefully judged oak create a harmonious and persistent finish. Drinking beautifully now, it also possesses the structure to cellar gracefully over the medium term under ideal conditions.
