The Teakle Wines South Australian Rosé 2025 is a vibrant, coastal-inspired Rosé crafted from young Shiraz vines grown on the Southern Eyre Peninsula near Port Lincoln, delivering freshness, purity and exceptional drinkability in a beautifully crisp modern style. Produced with careful attention to preserving delicate aromatics and natural acidity, the fruit was harvested in the cool early morning before undergoing gentle skin contact to extract just the right amount of colour and flavour while avoiding harsh tannins, resulting in a Rosé that is bright, expressive and refreshingly dry.
In the glass, the wine displays a pale salmon hue with brilliant vibrancy, immediately inviting with lifted aromas of fresh raspberries, musk and delicate red berry perfume. The palate is lively and flavour-packed, flowing with juicy raspberry and fresh berry characters supported by crisp natural acidity that drives the wine effortlessly toward a long, clean and dry finish. Its purity and freshness make it incredibly easy to enjoy while still retaining refinement and balance.
Crafted entirely in stainless steel to preserve freshness and varietal expression, this Rosé captures the cool maritime influence of Port Lincoln and the Southern Eyre Peninsula beautifully. Rated 90 points by Campbell Mattinson and produced by a winery highly regarded by James Halliday Wine Companion and Huon Hooke’s The Real Review, this release offers outstanding value — especially as part of a rare winery closure stock clearance at an impressive 66% off.
This crisp and refreshing Rosé is perfect with grilled prawns, charcuterie boards, fresh summer salads, sushi, antipasto, Mediterranean dishes or relaxed afternoon entertaining, where its bright acidity and dry finish truly shine.
90 Point Rated - Campbell Mattinson
"This rosé is crimson-coloured and tastes of raspberry, orange oil, sweet spice and strawberry. It’s a racy rosé with a touch of twiggy-herb complexity but with jellied raspberry flavours as the main stream. I’m tasting this in June 2025 and it’s a little arms and legs at present but come the summer of 2025/26 it should be singing."
Katrina Butler James Halliday Wine Companion
"Pretty watermelon hues in the glass make you yearn for spring, and I'm tasting this in the dead of winter. Orange rind and raspberry – it reminds me of the jelly in orange quarters you would find at childhood parties in the '90s. Nice scattering of dried Italian herbs, too. Finishes deliciously dry."
Jeni Port Wine Pilot
"Solid in fairy floss pink hues, this Port Lincoln Rosé lives up to those bold credentials once it hits the glass. The scent of earth and red berries rise from the moment the bottle is opened. It’s a dusty, wild raspberry, strawberry, cherry and spice welcome. This is a textural Rosé, warm and creamy and ripe. Plenty to get your teeth into. An early bloomer, this is a Rosé to enjoy now."
Aaron Brasher The Real Review
"A youthful cherry red in the glass. Fragrant, with aromas of strawberries and cream, raspberry, melon and citrus. Firm, red fruited and dry on the finish. There's a decent lick of grip and the acidity is punchy."
