Vintage: 2025
Source/Region: Tasmania
Grape Variety: Pinot Noir
Cellaring: Drink now or cellar short term
Bottle Top: Stelvin
Alcohol Content: 13.00
Standard Drinks: 7.70
This Pinot Noir is crafted as a vibrant, lighter-bodied “drink now” style, made from fruit picked at moderate sugar levels to capture the purity of fresh strawberry and cherry characters. After destemming, the ferment was conducted on skins using specific yeasts selected to enhance aromatic lift, resulting in a beautifully expressive young red. Once fermentation was complete, the wine was matured in tank prior to bottling to preserve its brightness, vitality and varietal detail.
In the glass, it shows dark cherry hues with youthful purple tones, signalling its freshness. The bouquet is lively and highly aromatic, brimming with lavish notes of cherry, strawberry and a gentle touch of spice. The palate opens with ripe cherry and raspberry, followed by strawberry highlights that glide across the front palate before lively spices add depth and interest to the mid-section. Supple, soft and silky tannins deliver mid-palate richness, while well-balanced acidity provides a crisp, energetic kick on the finish, shaping a Pinot Noir that is both perfectly delectable and effortlessly drinkable. The style builds upon the pedigree of the previous vintage, which received 95 Points from Wine Showcase Magazine, underscoring the continuing quality of this fruit-driven release.
Its brightness and soft structure make it an ideal partner for charcuterie, crispy duck pancakes, roast chicken, grilled salmon, mushroom pasta, wood-fired pizza, or even slightly chilled as a summer red with antipasto and fresh cheeses.
92 Point Rated - Russell Gallagher Vinomasters
"Pale ruby with luminous clarity. Lifted aromatics of raspberry, cherry blossom and soft spice with earthy nuance. The palate flows showing layered red fruit supported by bright acidity and satin-fine tannins. Texture is supple and elegant, with savoury undertones emerging through the mid-palate. Structural tension remains gentle but precise, carrying the wine into a long, graceful finish with lingering spice and mineral lift. An elegant and composed Tasmanian Pinot."
