Mud House Single Vineyard Claim 431 Central Otago Pinot Noir 2022 is a refined cool-climate Pinot Noir sourced from the Claim 431 vineyard in the Bendigo sub-region of Central Otago. The vineyard’s free-draining loam soils over schist gravel, combined with significant day–night temperature variation, help develop excellent fruit concentration while maintaining the bright acidity that defines great Central Otago Pinot Noir.

A portion of the wine was matured in French oak barriques while the balance was aged in stainless steel, preserving purity of fruit while adding subtle complexity. In the glass, the wine reveals aromas of fresh cherry and red berries layered with delicate baking spice and earthy undertones. The palate is vibrant and textured, showing bright red fruit alongside hints of sweet dried herbs and savoury oak, leading to a long, elegant finish supported by fine tannins and lively acidity.

The pedigree of the vineyard is reinforced by the previous vintage receiving 93 Points from Sam Kim (Wine Orbit) along with a Gold Medal and 5 Star rating from Raymond Chan, confirming its standing as a premium Central Otago Pinot Noir.
