The 2022 Coonawarra vintage was exceptional, producing wines of remarkable quality and concentration. Mild temperatures, a long, steady growing season, and small, thick-skinned berries resulted in Cabernet Sauvignon with intense flavour, excellent colour, firm tannins, and outstanding balance. Harvest stretched from early April through to mid-May under stable conditions, allowing fruit to reach optimal ripeness while retaining freshness and structure. These wines also promise excellent cellaring potential thanks to their vibrant acidity and concentrated fruit.

Each parcel of fruit was fermented in stainless steel for five days before being transferred to a combination of French oak barrels and stainless steel tanks to complete fermentation. The wine was then matured for six months in oak, enhancing complexity while preserving the freshness and purity of the fruit.

In the glass, it displays a vivid dark magenta colour with a bright crimson hue. The nose is lifted with classic Coonawarra aromas of eucalyptus, cassis, and ripe red berries. The palate is bright and generously flavoured, layered with juicy cassis and red berry fruit, supported by silky tannins and subtle oak influence.
