High tones of floral subtle but intense berries with spice and pepper notes, a complex wine. Fruit characters of blueberry, mulberry, dark cherries with chocolate and cedar mahogany polish notes giving it depth and character. With Intense berries and a creamy sweet under tone note giving it a dollop of creaminess to round out the spice and cedar French oak. A wine that is not over powering boldness, this is a wine that is subtle but powerful or intense. The flavours are balanced with a streamline acidity that carries fruit throughout the palate giving wine great and intense flavours to last. A fine grained tannin structure also supporting structure but with fruit flavours and acidity makes this wine feel silky across its mouth feel.
93+++ Point Rated, Philip White
Best Two Tims yet: Mellow, sombre and gloomy underneath, down where the roots meet the deep earth; as fruity and wholesome as a blackberry tart decked with fresh whipped cream up on top. Big time McLaren Vale Shiraz at its best: from the piedmont of the Willunga Escarpment, this is a beautiful blend of the new style freshness with the traditional rustic barns and dirt, the harness and farmhouse kitchen. Hard to advise accompanying food after all that, but if it's not evocative enough, think field mushrooms, shanks, hocks, osso bucco with black olives in the sauce, blue pickled cabbage steamed with cured smoked pork, beetroot stews ... perfect swoony slurping for that last cool evening of spring. You better sleep over. 93+++ points
