Tasting Notes:

The Crossings Marlborough Pinot Gris 2024 is a beautifully elegant expression of cool-climate New Zealand winemaking, sourced from premium vineyards across the Awatere and Wairau Valleys in Marlborough. Crafted under the direction of former Villa Maria winemaker Angela Walsh, this sustainably grown, vegan-friendly Pinot Gris captures the purity, minerality and vibrant acidity that define the region’s finest whites.

The 2024 growing season presented challenges, with higher rainfall and dewy mornings creating careful vineyard management conditions. However, stable weather at harvest allowed fruit to be picked at optimal ripeness, delivering impressive concentration and exceptional fruit health. Select blocks were gently pressed, settled in stainless steel for 72 hours, and fermented with carefully selected yeast strains to enhance lifted aromatics and preserve varietal purity. No oak influence ensures the focus remains firmly on fresh fruit expression and mineral drive.

In the glass, the wine opens with concentrated aromas of pear drop, white peach and honeycomb, layered with subtle mineral notes. The palate is beautifully textural, striking a seamless balance between delicate fruit sweetness and refreshing natural acidity. A clean mineral finish carries impressive length, leaving the wine crisp, vibrant and wonderfully food friendly.

Enjoy this Marlborough Pinot Gris with creamy mushroom pasta, roasted chicken, pork belly, or light seafood dishes where its freshness and texture complement richness beautifully. With wholesaler closing-down stock clearance pricing, this is an outstanding opportunity to secure a premium Marlborough Pinot Gris at exceptional value.
