A brightly aromatic wine which offers great clarity of varietal character. Scents of Nashi pear, honeydew melon, grapefruit, hints of cinnamon and hazelnut can all be detected in the bouquet. The mouthfeel is smooth, fine and focused with fleshy fruit texture – reminiscent of biting into a juicy ripe pear and is complemented by flavours of salted nougat, fresh hazelnuts and citrus-like acidity making for a long and satisfying finish. An ideal aperitif or the perfect accompaniment to fresh seafood.
100% Estate grown from their Forest Grove vineyard. 30% of the grapes were whole bunch pressed straight to barrel, and underwent barrel fermentation in aged oak, followed by four months on lees. During this time the wine was stirred to enhance the natural texture associated with Fiano. The remaining portion was fermented in tank, resulting in a brightly fruited, clean blending component which was also aged on yeast lees and stirred. The wine is vegan friendly (as it was fined using potato protein).

"'...with a splash of chardonnay'. 45% barrel fermented. Matured for 7 months in neutral oak, regular bâtonnage. Yellow peach fuzz, red apple, nashi pear, strawberry, custard powder and white pepper. The oak is nowhere to be seen, but contributes a supportive structure from which the fruit can hang. A lot to like here! Very smart."

"Mark Messenger is making quite a statement with this southern Italian variety. A little over half is fermented in stainless steel with lees stirring while the remainder goes into old oak for about six months with regular stirring. The result is a wine that makes an impact. Bright melon with a deeper stone fruit richness lifted by a citrus tang. All round it’s an excellent food wine.
Amanda Yallop The Real Review
"Pale lemon-green tint. Floral and honeysuckle aromas. Smooth, creamy texture, apple, almond meal and saline notes, racy acidity, medium-bodied, short yet pleasant finish."
