Pale straw with vibrate yellow hues. Aromatic white stone fruit, with lemon curd and subtle oak tones. Intensely flavoured with notes of white peach, nectarine and lemon combined with subtle hints of spices and cream. A strong backbone of natural acidity provides vibrancy and a mineral line to a sweet and textured palate of impressive persistence.
History shows that Thomas Hardy first blended grapes from multiple regions in 1865. Thomas believed that blending grapes with different characteristics would complement and enhance the qualities of each region. So began Hardy’s rich blending heritage; with each new blend a unique code was created starting from A001 and labelled Heritage Reserve Bin or HRB. For this vintage of HRB Chardonnay, fruit was sourced from premium vineyards in Yarra Valley, Margaret River, Pemberton, Tumbarumba and Adelaide Hills. 2017 was a vintage of high quality fruit with high tonnage, an early cool winter and warm spring was preceded by a late rainfall event that boosted vine growth and refreshed soils. Closer to harvest bumper crops were aided into ripening by mid summer temperatures and sporadic rain. Given the favourable conditions crops ripened rapidly and some were stretched to harvest crops in time, however we picked at optimal ripeness. The 2017 vintage resulted in a complex wine showcasing intense fruit flavours, structured acidity and subtle oak nuances that reflect the interwoven nature of this multi- regional blend.
95 Point Rated - James Halliday Wine Companion
"Bin D677. Oatmeal melts into grilled peach, pears slip through cedar wood. There's a creaminess to the mouthfeel and an air of confidence throughout. Sit down with a glass and don't expect to go anywhere in a hurry; it just makes you want to settle in, relax and admire. It has class and quality written all over."

“ Seduced on the nose by aromas of smoke and reductive notes. The palate has a lovely texture and acidity, creating the hallmarks of a wine that will age well in bottle.”
90 Point Rated - Decanter World Wine awards
"A touch of smoke on the nose along with lemon peel and grapefruit pith, while the palate is laced with sherbet acidity."
