Technical:

Vineyard Frontignac has been a beloved grape variety of Barossa Valley owing to its rich flavour and varietal characters. The Lilyfarm vineyard, situated right in front of the Burge family home near Tanunda, was the source of grapes utilised in creating this great wine. Winemaking The vintage experienced cool and dry winter conditions with average rainfall and mild winds. Although the crop yield was low, the small-sized berries ripened perfectly to provide vibrant colours and flavours, with excellent acid retention. This fruit was selected and picked carefully, with only free run juice being used to craft this magnificent white varietal. After crushing, the process of cold fermentation at 8 degrees was employed on the juice extracted, for about 3 to 8 weeks. This was halted before the wine dried completely so that a balance could be maintained between acid and sugar levels.
