Tasting Notes:

Harvested eight days earlier than the previous vintage, the 2021 Marlborough season was defined by low yields due to unfavourable spring flowering conditions and some late frosts—yet it delivered exceptional fruit quality. With a long, dry ripening period marked by sunny days and cool nights, this Pinot Gris achieved remarkable ripeness and purity of flavour, albeit in limited volumes.

In the glass, it displays a striking straw yellow with a subtle orange hue. Aromatically expressive, jasmine, golden peach and poached pear rise from the glass, giving way to a plush, full-bodied palate that carries notes of figs, pear, and warm spices. The wine’s excellent weight and mouthfeel create a luxurious experience that lingers on the finish. This wine pairs beautifully with pork belly, creamy chicken dishes, or rich, spiced Asian cuisine.

Awarded 93 Points and 5 Stars by Sam Kim of Wine Orbit, this vintage continues the legacy of excellence, with the previous release also highly rated by Campbell Mattinson of The Wine Front and Huon Hooke of The Real Review.

It's gorgeously ripe and enticing on the nose showing golden peach, poached pear, rockmelon and rich floral aromas, leading to a succulent palate delivering excellent weight and plush mouthfeel. Flavoursome and instantly appealing. At its best: now to 2025. Jan 2022.
