The Stoneleigh Classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2024 is a vibrant and expressive white wine that perfectly embodies the distinctive character of Marlborough’s iconic terroir. Crafted from fruit grown in stone-studded Rapaura soils, this wine captures the bright purity and intensity that Stoneleigh is celebrated for. Guided by a philosophy of minimal intervention and natural expression, the winemaking process enhances rather than masks the inherent brilliance of the fruit.

Harvested in the cool of night using state-of-the-art Pellenc fruit sorters, the grapes were destemmed in the vineyard and gently pressed to preserve freshness and aromatics. The juice was fermented slowly at cool temperatures, maintaining the variety’s crispness and typicity. For the 2024 vintage, an Awatere Valley component was introduced — sourced from vineyards just one kilometre from the Pacific Ocean — contributing a refined minerality and a subtle hint of sweet basil and pink grapefruit that lift the wine’s profile.

In the glass, it glows pale straw with green hues, bursting with aromas of passionfruit, lime zest, and lemongrass, complemented by undertones of guava and bell pepper. The palate is fresh, textural, and full of energy — a cascade of tropical fruits and citrus zest balanced by taut acidity and saline minerality. The finish is long, crisp, and refreshing, showcasing the hallmark tension and vibrancy of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc at its best.
