The Shaw + Smith Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc 2025 is a benchmark Australian Sauvignon Blanc, showcasing the purity, freshness and elegance that have made this wine one of the country's most recognised cool-climate whites. Sourced entirely from premium Adelaide Hills vineyards, the fruit was handpicked and gently pressed before cool fermentation in stainless steel, preserving vibrant aromatics, crisp natural acidity and exceptional varietal character.
Bright and refreshing, the wine reveals lifted aromas of citrus, passionfruit and subtle fresh herbs. The palate is beautifully balanced, delivering lively citrus and tropical fruit flavours with a clean mineral edge, crisp acidity and an energetic finish. Unoaked and crafted with precision, this is a Sauvignon Blanc that is all about purity, texture and effortless drinkability.
Awarded 93 Points by Mike Bennie (Halliday Wine Companion), 92 Points by Shanteh Wale (Wine Pilot), 92 Points by Erin Larkin (The Wine Advocate) and 91 Points by Campbell Mattinson (The Wine Front), the Shaw + Smith Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc 2025 is a perfect match for oysters, grilled seafood, sushi, goat's cheese, fresh salads or light Asian cuisine. An iconic Australian Sauvignon Blanc that continues to set the standard.
93 Point Rated - Mike Bennie Halliday Wine Companion
"Perhaps one of Australia's most recognisable white wines, or at least one that delivers reliable quality and drinkability each year. It's charming in its glide and gloss to texture, a little bite of freshness through the finish. The perfume and palate match well in green pear, light passionfruit and guava notes, pretty citrus lift and a faint riff of green herbs. A good intensity and concentration of flavour. It's pretty and pitch perfect; nails the variety and has a sense of upfront charm. 93 Points. $34. 12% alc, Drink: 2025 - 2027. Screwcap"
92 Point Rated - Shanteh Wale Wine Pilot
"A tightly coiled wine that leans on the Lemon Aspen, nashi pear and grapefruit side. A hint of Lilikoi but very subtle, with some silver needle and paperbark. This kindles its citrus fruit with an elegant natural line of acidity, paired back and complemented by some lemon pith and white melon. In a dry and warm year, the S + S team have captured the vitality of their golden child but showcasing the fresh grace that sunshine and hang time can bring. Perhaps a less device style of Sauvignon Blanc for a crowd, I’m thinking wedding vibes. A nice partnership might be Meredith goats cheese arancini, on a lawn under the sunshine. Drink now or forever hold your peace."
92 Point Rated - Erin Larkin The Wine Advocate
"The 2025 Sauvignon Blanc hails from a hot, dry season, and the wine is typically tight and crunchy, both aromatically and in the mouth. Notes of cassis and green apple, juniper and sugar snap peas coalesce in the mouth, confirming this wine's consistent legacy of purity and elegance over time. It's reliably lovely. 12% alcohol, sealed under screw cap."
91 Point Rated - Campbell Mattinson The Wine Front
"If you rock up to the wine fridge at your local and grab this as your staple, how are you doing? Not bad, I’d say. You get fruit flavour served squeaky clean. You get a slip of texture, like white grape skins, soft but with a bit of grab. You get apple, pear, tropical fruit and citrus flavours, all whispered with lemongrass. It throws punches of flavour but none of them are at your face."
