Miles From Nowhere Margaret River Chardonnay 2021 is a beautifully balanced expression of southern Margaret River terroir, produced from fruit grown at the Challis Vineyard in the prized Wallcliffe area. The outstanding 2021 season delivered near-perfect growing conditions, with mild temperatures and a dry season allowing fruit to ripen slowly and evenly, resulting in wines of exceptional purity and concentration.

Crafted from a blend of the famous Gin Gin selection and Clone 95, the fruit was harvested in the cool of the night before gentle pressing and a long, cool fermentation in French oak. The wine matured on fine lees for around six months to build texture and complexity, while avoiding malolactic fermentation to preserve its natural vibrancy and crisp acidity.

In the glass, the wine reveals lifted aromatics of citrus blossom, grapefruit and papaya with delicate floral notes. Subtle hints of biscuit spice and creamy oak add complexity, while underlying minerality provides precision. The palate is beautifully poised with a creamy texture and flavours of ripe melon, stone fruit and musk, finishing long and fresh with lingering notes of spiced poached pear.
