Crown Ambassador Reserve 2011 is 10% ABV and the 4th release of the Limited Release Barrel Aged Lager. Continuing with the tradition of adding distinctive crystal malt and handpicked Galaxy hops to the brew to drive complexity in the finished beer, 2011 saw a new innovation with a portion of the brew maturing for three months in brand-new French oak barrels, which were sourced from the renowned Dargaud et Jaegle (D&J) cooperage in France. These barrels added a distinctive vanilla bean to an already rich, caramelised malty flavour, that is balanced by bitter-sweet hop characters, finishing with a smooth, full-bodied mouthfeel.
