- HAWKES BAY SYRAH FROM TRINITY HILL WINES
Intense blackberry, wild raspberries, red liquorice, and hints of savoury spice combine to produce a fruit dominant complex wine with a subtle touch of oak spice on the finish. The wine is deliberately released young to emphasize the beautiful perfume and fruit freshness.
93 Point Rated - Christina Pickard Wine Enthusiast Magazine
"This wine kicks off with cherry, currant, ground white pepper, olive, graphite and mocha on the nose. On the palate, the tannins are taut and fine, and a graphite character presides over crunchy fruit and the long, spicy finish. It's a finessed wine that's approachable now but can be cellared until 2028."
91 Point Rated - Bob Campbell MW The Real Review
"Moderately deep, bright ruby tinted Syrah with plum, pepper and herb flavours. A strongly fruit-focused red with a refreshing backbone of tangy acidity. Good food wine - try it with pasta in a red meat sauce. Good value at this price."
91 Point Rated - Sam Kim Wine Orbit
"Fabulously fruited and perfumed, the bouquet shows Black Doris plum, blueberry, violet, subtle spice and almond characters, followed by a succulent palate that is supple and fleshy. It is youthfully charming with pristine fruit flavours together with silky mouthfeel and polished tannins, making it immediately appealing. "
