This wine displays bright and lifted aromas of dark berry and bay leaf, and gentle oak support. The wine is effortlessly mouth filling with juicy red fruit flavours balanced with acidity and gentle fine grained tannins which lead to a long finish. It is well suited to red meat dishes such as a roast leg of lamb with garlic and herbs.

"A blend of 60% cabernet sauvignon, 25% merlot and 15% malbec (it varies from year to year), matured for 13 months in barriques (30% new). This has largely unbridled power courtesy of its medium to full-bodied palate, black fruits ex the cabernet first up, then red berries and a more succulent mid-palate ex the merlot and malbec. Exceptional value."

"Lots of fruit and lots of tannin though whether the two quite see eye-to-eye is up for dispute. It’s very young so time will likely settle the dispute. Redcurrants, peppercorns, smoky oak and mint. It works but it will be better again in time."

Highly Rated Nick Butler - The Real Review
"Vibrant, dark cherry-red colour with paler edges. A faint reductive note to the nose ahead of blackberries, cedar and savoury cured-meats. Far more vivacious when sipped, a burst of berry fruits with flesh and supple tannins driving the finish. Softly-structured and built for early enjoyment."
This wine is a blend of 60% cabernet sauvignon, 25% merlot and 15% malbec, the malbec not mentioned on the front label given the quantity offered in the blend has varied from 0% to 15%.
The fruit was picked and sorted in mid April 2018. It was cold soaked in small fermenters for twelve days before undergoing an extended and gentle maceration allowing for the softening of the tannins. Thirty percent of the wine was matured in new Bordeaux oak barriques. The balance went to one year old (50%) and two year old (20%) Bordeaux barriques for thirteen months maturation before final blending and bottling in August 2019.
