Technical:

This Shiraz was planted in Mount Benson, near the ocean around Robe with roaring sea breezes helping keep ourvines cool and clean. Grapes ripen slowly and with and developing characteristic flavours like florals, pepper, raspberry and violets throughout February and March. The fruit was harvested at the optimum ripeness, not too lean, not too heavy for this delicate style. Hands off winemaking and time in 3-4 year old French oak have left this wine pure and free.

Accolades & Awards:

95 Point Rated James Halliday Australian Wine Companion

"Machine harvested, crushed, destemmed, fermented, after 12 days pressed to stainless steel and 10% French oak barriques for 10 months. Highly perfumed, inexpensive and totally enjoyable punching well above its weight. All florals, black pepper and spice with juicy red fruits and a savoury overlay. It's medium-bodied, buoyant with supple tannins, ultra-refreshing and frighteningly easy to drink."

Winestate Magazine

"An elegant wine with hints sweet dark berry fruits, some meaty notes and lots of appealing spice."
