An uncompromising, ultra-premium expression of Australian Cabernet, the Monolith Vintners Monolithic Old Vine Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 is crafted with French influence and Australian precision. Sourced from the famed Coonawarra region, fruit was hand-picked and gently de-stemmed into concrete open-top fermenters, followed by a meticulous 7-day skin contact regimen and basket pressing over 8 hours. The wine then matured in new 500L French puncheons for an extraordinary 48 months, before blending and bottling without filtration or fining.

Only 300 cases were produced, and the result is a wine of stunning concentration, texture, and longevity. The nose is massive and intense, opening with exotic dark fruits before mellowing into waves of blackberry, dark cherry, and cassis. The French oak is still vivid, offering toasty spice and structure, while secondary notes of earth and leather saddle reflect the wine’s age and evolution. On the palate, the wine is dense and brooding, with immense richness and finely woven tannins, showcasing power, poise, and depth. This is a wine built to last and must be decanted for 1–2 hours prior to drinking to reveal its complexity.
