Tasting Notes:

This wine is a blend of selected parcels of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from our Coonawarra vineyards. Showing deep rich colour with concentrated berry characters and flavours, the wine exhibits a complex palate, good tannin structure and a firm finish.

Technical:

Maturing in a mix of new French and American hogsheads for 22 months has allowed vanilla and spicy oak flavours to develop. Although excellent drinking now, with careful cellaring this wine will further develop.

Established in 1982, Ladbroke Grove Wines remains a family owned business producing premium Coonawarra wines in limited quantities.

At Limestone Coast Wine Show 2008 the Ladbroke Grove Coonawarra Compadres Cabernet Merlot 2005 received a rating of 44 points and outpointed the following;
