Tasting Notes:

The Jackman Vineyards Estate Range Barossa Valley Shiraz 2023 presents a medium-bodied yet fruit-forward style that highlights the richness of the Barossa Valley terroir. The blackberry and plum fruits dominate the palate, supported by layers of fruitcake, summer berries, and subtle floral notes that add complexity and freshness. Fine tannins and carefully integrated oak create a beautifully balanced wine with a smooth backbone.

A tribute to James Jackman, who first purchased land in 1850 and helped shape the early days of Barossa Valley winegrowing, this Shiraz showcases fruit from one of the highest quality vineyards in the region. The wine perfectly captures the Western Barossa Valley’s terroir – known for producing wines of exceptional character and depth.

The previous vintage was 96 points and a Gold Medal winner at Wine Showcase Magazine, and 95 points from Winestate Magazine, further underscoring the exceptional quality of this estate-grown Shiraz.

Food Pairing: This wine pairs beautifully with roast lamb, grilled steak, or cheese boards with blue cheese and aged cheddar.

Accolades & Awards:

93 Point Rated & 5 Stars - Sam Kim Wine Orbit

"Rich yet elegant with complexity, the inviting bouquet showcases dark plum, dried herb, game, vanilla, and hazelnut aromas, followed by a succulent palate that displays a plump mouthfeel backed by polished tannins, finishing with a lingering and enticing aftertaste. At its best: now to 2035. $80.00."
