Tasting Notes

The Holy Trinity is a richly flavoured and elegantly structured GSM that continues the long and lauded heritage for this traditional blend in the Barossa Valley. The nose is awash with ripe plums, Christmas pudding and liqueur cherries with sweet spices and a hint of some more savoury, earthy notes that add to the complexity. The palate is rich and juicy with vibrant flavours of fresh plums and berries, chai tea and fruitcake, with fine tannins that run the length of the palate. The dense, mouth-filling mid palate and long, textural finish combine to create a wine that is rich and elegant, sweet and savoury, and will sit beautifully on any table now, or cellar gracefully for the future.

Accolades & Awards

95 Point Rated - James Halliday Wine Companion

"38% grenache, 33% shiraz, 25% mourvedre, 4% graciano, some of the grenache and shiraz co-fermented, matured in French oak. Particularly given its age, this is a seriously attractive wine that has kept remarkably fresh."

Technical

Grant believes if the right varieties are grown in the right soils, and vines are managed to produce low to moderate yields, the vines will produce the premium quality fruit needed to produce exceptional wines. With the combination of the best terroirs, the best climate and the best wine making techniques, the natural result is the best wine.

Over five generations, we've brought together the finest vineyards and hands-on techniques with modern wine making to express the classic Barossa. Share our passion for great wine at one of our cellar doors here in the Barossa Valley. A Grant Burge label is your guarantee of quality and integrity - we look forward to welcoming you to this beautiful region.

"This business is in my blood. I have a strong wine making heritage and I want to hand down my knowledge. I believe in preserving and maintaining our Barossa legacy and tradition to make sure my young winemakers understand how to make top wines into the future." Grant Burge.
