Tasting Notes:

The nose offers aromas of blackcurrant, black cherries and menthol with hints of violets. The palate is soft and youthful with black fruits and mint, complemented by a well-integrated tannin structure.

Technical:

Grown in nearly every major wine producing country in the world, Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the world’s most widely recognised variety. The grapes for this Cabernet Sauvignon is grown in Langhorne Creek. There is also a touch of Limestone Coast Petit Verdot to add body and tannin and Adelaide Hills Merlot for roundness in this wine.

2014 was a challenging vintage, but it was very interesting to see the vines’ methodical reactions to make use of whatever was thrown at them. We were lucky with the timing of the heat and rain - the grapes were still early enough in their ripening cycle to not be hugely affected by the heat and then the rain in mid-February provided a well-earned reprieve.
