Tasting Notes:

The St Hallett Faith Barossa Valley Shiraz 2025 is a vibrant and modern expression of classic Barossa Shiraz, delivering the rich fruit intensity and savoury depth that have made the region world famous. Inspired by the pioneering spirit of the European settlers who arrived in Barossa in 1842, this contemporary favourite captures the generosity, warmth and approachable style that continues to define the St Hallett legacy.

In the glass, the wine reveals a deep purple hue, immediately signalling its concentration and youthful energy. The bouquet is lifted and expressive, showing bright cherry fruit, dark berries and ripe plum layered with subtle chocolate and warming spice. On the palate, juicy blackberry and dark cherry flavours flow seamlessly alongside pepper spice and cocoa notes, while soft tannins create a smooth, rounded texture that lingers through a long, savoury finish. Rich yet balanced, the wine offers both immediate drinkability and enough structure to reward short-term cellaring.

Awarded 92 points by Shanteh Wale and highly rated by Regan Drew, this release continues the strong pedigree of previous vintages, including 92 points from Dave Brookes in the Halliday Wine Companion. Produced by the highly acclaimed St Hallett winery, a 5 Red Star Rated producer by the Halliday Wine Companion, it reflects decades of Barossa winemaking expertise dating back to 1944.

This Shiraz pairs beautifully with chargrilled steak, slow-cooked lamb, smoky barbecue dishes, rich pasta and aged cheeses, where its juicy fruit profile and savoury spice enhance hearty flavours effortlessly.

Accolades & Awards:

92 Point Rated - Shanteh Wale Winepilot

St Hallet is a faithful household name to many, my extended family included and it is the Faith Shiraz that I have come to know and love for its consistency and generosity. Like a familiar hug it embraces you with soft plums, blackberries and dark cherries. Some bracken of woody herbs thyme and oregano. Tannins are always kept fine and powdery but provide enough foundation for it to age confidently even when forgotten in the depth of cellars for a number of years. It’s full and plush and really everything you are looking for when you seek out Barossa Valley frequently, for its price tag allows you to enjoy it for all occasions. I recommend drinking now or within 3-5 years. A spaghetti bolognese or cottage pie is the perfect comfort combo.

Highly Rated - Regan Drew Winepilot

Bruise purple with ermine edges. Neatly varietal Barossa Shiraz: Fleshy plum halves, black cherry, prune, dried fig, peppercorn sauce, milk chocolate, olive tapenade and Hot Cross Bun baking spices. Medium to full bodied with plenty of fleshy red and purple fruits, punctuated with peppery piquant spice. A little rasp of tannin and a hint of black olive to umami finish for a savoury tail. Nothing complex, just well made Barossa Shiraz.
