Like much of South Australia, the 2015 growing season in Langhorne Creek saw very little rain after July. However, due to these drier conditions, disease pressure was very low and rapid ripening occurred, with the start of vintage one of the earliest seen in many years. The heat was tempered by the region’s typical cooling breezes, which saw the vintage progress relatively unhindered. Overall, this vintage produced fruit of excellent quality, showing great balance and depth of both colour and flavour, and has been hailed as being one of the best in recent memory. 

Conventional winemaking techniques were used to craft this wine. The grapes were harvested at optimal ripeness to ensure no overripe characters crept into the finished product. The style of this wine is fresh, fruit forward and easy drinking, displaying all the varietal character expected of our Discovery Series wines.
