The Vitulus Shiraz displays a dark ruby colour, with aromas of fresh red fruits such as juicy plum and cranberry, followed by subtle touches of forest floor. The palate presents fresh red cherry and juicy plum, complemented by hints of black pepper spice. Fine-grained tannins and subtle toasted oak create a layered wine with length and persistence.

The flow of flavour is excellent here. This is as seamless as they come and yet it has grain, it has texture. Saturated plum and licorice flavours come infused with mint, roasted cedar, woodsy spice and florals. It's pretty and it's powerful, and it has good extension through the finish. This is a wine that will please a lot of red wine drinkers.

Wonderfully ripe and enticing, the bouquet shows black/blueberry, vanilla, hazelnut and warm spice characters. The palate is equally satisfying with excellent fruit richness combined with plump mouthfeel and silky texture, finishing superbly long and plush. At its best: now to 2035.
