The 1993 Orlando Lawson’s Padthaway Shiraz Museum Release is an exceptional example of longevity, still showing a remarkably vibrant, dark crimson hue after more than three decades. The nose is highly perfumed and complex, led by a distinct profile of raspberry and cedar with underlying notes of aniseed and sweet plum. On the palate, it presents as a medium to full-bodied wine with a silky, lingering mouthfeel and fine-grained tannins that have softened beautifully with age. Sourced from the historic 1968-planted "J Block," its extended maturation in new American oak adds a sophisticated layer of spice and structure that has allowed it to evolve into a graceful, fully mature Shiraz that remains remarkably fresh.
