Sourced from multiple mature vineyard blocks across McLaren Vale, each contributing its own microclimate and soil influence, the 2022 vintage came together with remarkable harmony. Lower yields delivered fruit of exceptional concentration, allowing the winemaking team to focus on purity, balance and regional character. Fermentation took place in small stainless steel fermenters to preserve vibrant fruit expression, before the wine was matured for 12 months in predominantly older oak barrels, with a small portion of new oak used to gently build structure and complexity without overpowering the fruit.

In the glass, the wine shows a vivid purple core with ruby red hues. Aromas lift immediately with purple fruits, ripe raspberries and dark berries, framed by dried herbs, gentle spice and subtle oak. The palate is medium-bodied yet flavour-packed, flowing with dark red and purple berry fruit, while savoury notes of dried herbs and peppercorn add depth through the mid-palate. Soft, supple tannins and seamlessly integrated oak create an elegant, polished finish that speaks to both vine age and careful maturation.

This is a Shiraz that shines at the table, particularly alongside roasted lamb marinated with garlic, rosemary and thyme, where the wine’s vibrant fruit and herbal undertones mirror the dish beautifully. It also pairs effortlessly with roasted vegetables such as broccoli, cremini mushrooms, butternut squash, zucchini and capsicum, simply prepared with olive oil and herbs, allowing the wine’s balance and savoury complexity to elevate the meal.
