Offering lifted floral notes that typically mix with bacon fat, leather and roast meats; the satsuma plum backbone and silken texture offers a youthful approachability and a lengthy opportunity in the cellar to pursue those truffled, earthy characters wine aficionados seek.

The Clarendon Hills Liandra Syrah site is located in the Blewitt Springs sub-region of McLaren Vale. Located in a sandy section of the famous Blewitt Springs sands, the site reveals a mid weight expression that reveal well after a few years in the cellar.

"This single-vineyard wine offers a multitude of heady aromas from tangy current, blueberry and black cherry to crushed rose petal, tree bark, black olive, peppercorn and soy sauce, The palate is restrained, even austere at first, with taut, talc textured tannins and crunchy acidity, but with time, layers of flavour emerge, backed by fine French oak. Despite its muscles, this could be sipped now with a decanter and protein at hand or cellared until 2031 at least."
