The Chapman Grove Reserve Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 is a premium, beautifully matured Cabernet from one of Australia's most celebrated wine regions. Combining concentrated Margaret River fruit, refined French oak and impressive critical acclaim, this Reserve release delivers the structure, depth and elegance expected from quality regional Cabernet Sauvignon.
Chapman Grove's story dates back to 1997, when wine lover and retailer Ron Fraser established his Margaret River vineyard with the goal of producing premium wines that reflected the region's distinctive terroir. The first Chapman Grove wines followed in 2006, with the winery going on to earn a prestigious 5 Red Star rating in the Halliday Wine Companion.
Harvested at night, the fruit was crushed and destemmed before maturation for 14 months with French oak, including 25% new oak. Deep and richly coloured, the wine displays classic aromas of dark berries, cedar, bramble and subtle charry oak. The palate is concentrated and beautifully structured, with fine-grained tannins and integrated oak carrying the fruit through to a long, refined finish.
Highly acclaimed, the 2020 vintage received 93 Points & 5 Stars from Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, along with 92 Points from Ray Jordan, Wine Pilot. A superb Margaret River Cabernet for enjoying now or adding to the cellar.

''Despite the challenges of trying to manage Covid this very short and compacted vintage produced some excellent flavours Cabernet in particular. This one is looking very smart. Like the balance of cassis, bay leaf and light chocolate with a fine minerally thread holding the line through to a sustained finish. Well balanced and structured. Yes, a very attractive slightly older drier Bordeaux-style Claret from Margaret River.''
93 Point Rated & 5 Stars - Sam Kim Wine Orbit
"It's splendidly fruited and fragrant on the nose, showing blackcurrant, tobacco, clove, vanilla, and cedar characters with a floral overtone. It's equally appealing in the mouth, displaying succulent fruit intensity with fine texture and chalky tannins, finishing long and robust. At its best: now to 2032. $42.00."
