Dark cherry with youthful purple notes. Fresh lively bouquet which is highly aromatic with lavish notes of cherry and strawberry and a touch of spiciness. Ripe cherry and raspberry with some strawberry flavours which all reveal themselves on the front palate. Lively spices add depth to the mid palate. The tannins are supple, soft and silky-smooth offering additional mid palate richness and well-balanced acidity provides the back palate with a perfect kick to this perfectly delectable and drinkable style of Pinot Noir.

Elmslie Tamar Valley Tasmanian Pinot Noir 2011

Vibrant ruby red with compelling aromas of raspberry, cherry and a hit of chocolate. Subtle use of oak adds depth and velvety tannins to this wine. A long, smooth palate with a sharp, peppery finish. Enjoy now or cellar to improve the incredible characteristics of this beautiful, handcrafted wine.

1838 Reserve McLaren Vale Pinot Noir 2018

Perfumed and really pretty in a word; violets bright red fruit with freshly squeezed cherries and a hint of blueberry pie. Layers of fruit followed by another layer of fruit, this is Australian Pinot upfront and honest. Red berry flavours flood the palate and persist with great length, a good zippy touch of acidity gives complexity whilst violets remind you just how pretty this wine is. This wine served best with a second glass or a light meal to ensure you don’t over power your palate as this is a wine to savour on its own with friends.

Technical:

Southern Lights Marlborough Pinot Noir 2016

Southern Lights Pinot Noir is sourced from an established vineyard in Marlborough’s Southern Valley region.

Kalex Wines Central Otago Pinot Noir 2016

The fruit for this wine was sourced from Northburn, Bendigo, Bannockburn and Lowburn. After a warm, early start to the season, an unusually cold November saw snow fall on the mountains and it put a halt on things a little. The vines soon caught up with a warm December, January and February. It was a drier season than normal although rains in February created some botrytis pressure. Harvest was short and sweet, taking around four weeks rather than the usual six. It is thought that most wineries had their fruit in before April 12th, when snow fell.

Rowella Estate Tasmanian Pinot Noir 2018

Fruit was picked at moderate sugar levels when the fruit is displaying lovely fresh strawberry and cherry characters to ensure a lighter drink now style. The fruit is was de-stemmed and fermented on skins. Specific yeasts which are known to enhance fruit aromatics are used to conduct the ferment. Following fermentation, the wine was matured in tank prior to being bottled.

Normans Bin C169 McLaren Vale Pinot Noir 2018

Normans is one of the oldest and most respected names in Australian Winemaking. Since 1853, when Jesse Norman planted his first vines in Adelaide, Normans has developed a reputation for premium award winning wines. The Bin Range reflects the bin numbers at the Old Clarendon Winery where Normans have produced so many epic wines, with the company’s commitment To the tradition of fine wine making.

Elmslie Tamar Valley Tasmanian Pinot Noir 2011

Established in 1972, Elmslie is one of the oldest vineyards on the western side of the Tamar Valley. Positioned high above the Tamar River, the view from the vineyard slopes is magnificent. From 1974 to 1977, 1.5 hectares of Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon were planted. These mature vines are still producing quality fruit and, together with more recent plantings of Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Shiraz, the vineyard covers an area of over 4 hectares. Elmslie is a family owned and operated boutique vineyard and winery consistently producing premium, award winning, cool climate wines. Our vines are hand pruned and picked with the fruit virtually going from the vine to the bottle, as it does not need to leave the property. We're keen to share our wines with others as they have very unique, 'fruit bomb' characteristics synonymous with the Tamar Valley region in Tasmania.

1838 Reserve McLaren Vale Pinot Noir 2018

Fruit was sourced from a single vineyard in the McLaren Vale region of South Australia only a stones throw from the border of the Adelaide hills region. The cool nature of this site allowed us to pick it a little later than most McLaren Vale vineyards as we really consider it to be part of the Hills region more than the vale. The result is intensely flavoured wines due to the care and attention these growers give them. This wine was fermented warm and received pump overs on a daily basis during their fermentation. The wine was aged in stainless steel with no oak contact to ensure only the fruit was the headline act here.

Kalex Wines Central Otago Pinot Noir 2016

5 Stars & 94 Point Rated - Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

"It is beautifully fruited and inviting on the nose showing spiced cherry, thyme, olive and roasted nut characters with a hint of truffle. The palate delivers excellent concentration and savoury complexity, wonderfully supported by refined mouthfeel and silky texture. At its best: now to 2025".
