The palate is rich yet elegant, with blackberry fruit flavours combining with subtle sweet oak character and finishing with fine, ripe tannins giving the wine a smooth, persistent finish.
Harmulist South Australian Shiraz 2021
Purple/red colour. Black and red fruit flavours highlight the aromatic nose. There's milk chocolate and hints of pepper and oak. A fleshy rich fruit driven wine with dominate fruit flavours of plum, cherry and some wonderful nutmeg character coupled with just a touch of pepper and oak which are more typical South Australian shiraz characters. The soft tannins are a highlight on the finish which is well balanced between the fruit, oak and natural acidity derived from the grapes.
Conquest Langhorne Creek Shiraz 2021
Fresh blackberry aromas are entwined with hints of plum, espresso, spice and dark chocolate. Full- bodied, with a luscious dark berry mid-palate; seamlessly structured with fine but firm tannins, rich oak and a balanced acidity that ensures a long, lingering finish.
Escapade Vineyards Barossa Valley Shiraz 2020
Deep dark red and purple in colour. The nose in intoxicating with raspberry, licorice along with some subtle pepper, oak, and dried herbs. Full bodied palate which is highly concentrated which is a trademark of the dry 2020 vintage. Raspberry, black olive, plum and licorice all feature with some dark chocolate providing the core flavours. Wonderfully integrated tannins then give the texture and balance the wine perfectly.
The Colonial Estate Explorateur Barossa Valley Shiraz 2021
Deep purple with red brick flash around edge. Blackberry fruits with hints of licorice, oak and aniseed. The palate is softly spoken and fruit driven initially with blackberries, plums and licorice notes giving your insight into what is ahead. An approachable mid palate, which is full-flavored, while the fine-grained tannins finish with complex notes of olives, cashew nuts and oak. An alluring finish, which is moreish and smooth, yet has great length.

Anvers Razorback Road Adelaide Hills Shiraz 2019
Highly Rated - Stuart Knox The Real Review
Deep ruby red in the glass. Plums, lavender, and sage aromas. Full-bodied dark fruits sit early then meld into a dry herb and dark earth note. Good length and tannins drive it well, though a little warmth lingers at the finish.

Anvers Razorback Road Adelaide Hills Shiraz 2019
The Razorback Road is our mid-price point wine aimed at the discerning drinker looking for value. Grapes are sourced from our estate vineyard in the Adelaide Hills. The winemaking style follows the same philosophy our superpremium wines with a two-week fermentation time to provide maximum colour, flavour and gently extracted fine tannins.
Named after the location of the estate vineyards in the Adelaide Hills, this classic Shiraz has been aged in French oak barriques for 12 months and has imparted subtle vanillin character to complement the wines vibrant fruit flavours.
Escapade Vineyards Barossa Valley Shiraz 2020
Sourced from a selection of growers I have worked with for several years across different hamlets of the Barossa Valley including Greenock, Tanunda, Ebenezer, and Bethany. The individual vineyards were picked and crushed separately providing different characteristics which then came together and were transformed by assemblage. All fruit was picked and underwent fermentation in small 4 tonne open fermenters. The juice was pumped twice a week for a one week before draining and being slowly basket pressed. Post ferment the wine aged in 2–4-year-old French oak.
The Colonial Estate Explorateur Barossa Valley Shiraz 2021
The vineyards that make up Explorateur are based in the northwestern Barossa Valley. This is a belt of land/terroir that runs from just to the northwest of Tanunda – Marananga, Greenock, Moppa, Ebenezer, and through to Stockwell, just north of Nuriootpa. Cropping levels are kept low to ensure fruit flavour is focus. The same equipment that is accorded to our more expensive wines is made available to Explorateur. Fermentation is French in approach for up to two thirds of the wine made; the rest is vinified in a more Australian way.
