Yabber And Sons Shiraz 2015

Rich deep vibrant plum hues. The nose has ones of sweet & spicy berries. Medium bodied Shiraz with blackberry and chocolate flavours with a smooth lingering finish.


The Row Pinot Gris 2015

This great wine the row has aromatics reminiscent of a fruit cocktail full of stonefruit, melon and green mango. These characters are richly replicated on the palate, with a full-textured mid palate and an off-dry finish. Delicious.


Hurry Up Now Pinot Noir 2014

Hurry Up Now is a Pinot Noir of utmost power with dense, dark, brooding fruit typical of the region with the great savoury balance that is evident in great examples of the variety.


Cape Heights South African Shiraz 2015

Wow, the best Cape Heights Shiraz. This absolutely reflects the super fantastic 2015 vintage. It is proof of how far SA reds have come in the past 10 years. It’s fresh, vibrant, positively thrumming with sappy wiry fruit with a bright mineral palate, cranberry fruit and a long, essential finish.


Berton Vineyards Outback Jack Shiraz 2016

Our Outback Jack Wines are easy drinking and true to varietal style. This 2016 Shiraz is well balanced and fruit driven with soft and well balanced tannins. Outback Jack Shiraz palate is soft yet full-bodied with well-defined flavours of plum, red currant and mocha, leading to a long, rich oak finish.

Technical:

Yabber And Sons Shiraz 2015

An Australian Shiraz classically made with some extended skin contact to soften the palate. This wine was matured in older American oak to allow the fruit aromas to develop and tannins to naturally soften.


Cape Heights South African Shiraz 2015

Trellised and planted in the shale soils towards the North East parts of the Valley (bordering the Swartland Region).  Produced from only free run juice and fermented on skins in stainless steel tanks. The ripe stems are left on the bunches to add to the overall tannin quality of the wine whilst whole bunch fermentation takes place. After a third of the sugar has fermented, delestage is done once per day. The wine is drawn off at the bottom of the tank and transferred into a separate tank. Once complete, it is then transferred back into the fermentation tank onto the skins and stems. This method ensures more air is incorporated into the wine which helps.
