Tasting Notes:

The wine exhibits intense aromas of citrus and stone fruit accompanied with notes of spice and roasted cashew nuts. On the palate, the dense creamy texture is complemented by grapefruit and mineral notes, followed by a long nutty finish.

Technical:

This Single Block Chardonnay has been produced using hand-picked fruit from the Watershed estate vineyard.

Terroir, place, selection. Parcels of fruit and length and flavour concentration, complexity and intensity achieved through carefully selected hand picked fruit. These wines are finely crafted with extended maturation and fermentation in new and one year old French Oak barrels to deliver wines of outstanding quality.

This wine can be enjoyed now or with cellaring will develop for the next 8 years.

Grapefruit and some citrus on the palate along with a bit of malo to give it a delicate waft of cream. One of the best chardonnays I have had in years and insane value for money. If I could give it 6 stars I would.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bazza from Chardonnay gem A lovely example of Margaret River Chardonnay. Yellow stonefruits, zesty grapefruit and 'struck matchstick' characters show on an impressive nose. The palate is medium depth, with a complex array of lively stonefruit and grapefruit flavours with a mineraly acid finish. Plenty of flavour now but there is a leaness to the palate that makes me want to put mine away for another 3-5 years to watch this wine evolve.
