Tasting Notes:

Riesling from a single vineyard in the Clare Valley has been picked during the cool Valley nights to help preserve the crisp fruit freshness and natural acidity. This Riesling combines lifted aromas of citrus fruits, floral notes and lychee undertones with crisp lemon and lime flavours, producing a balanced wine with complexity and length.

Technical:

Mild temperatures and generous rainfall in late summer slowed ripening, thereby allowing time for parcels of fruit to be harvested at their best. The quality of fruit for this vintage was outstanding.

Very happy with the Gotham Clare Valley Riesling 2016 for its excellent drinkability right through a meal, from the entree of ripe figs with gorgonzola, to a fricassee of pork with tarragon and on to poached pears with infused with cardamom pods and served with creme fraiche.
