Tasting Notes:

This wine is a brilliant deep red in colour, with a youthful vibrant purple hue. The bouquet displays lively aromatics of violets, cherries and black forest cake with white pepper and liquorice spices . Hints of vanilla and caramel derived from oaked maturation complement the spice. The palate is fresh and vibrant bursting with cherry, blueberry and vanillin oak notes. Technical:

The 2017 vintage in Frankland River was characterised by moderate and dry conditions punctuated by several rain events during harvest. A return to healthy rainfall levels in the preceding winter and a wet, cool spring resulted in healthy vines carrying a good crop. The weather conditions resulted in the harvest of a Shiraz with an abundance of spice and red fruit flavours, with extremely fine and supple tannins.

For this hallmark regional Shiraz, grapes were sourced from premium vineyards in the Frankland River region. Fruit was fermented in open top fermenters for a period of eight days. The wine was then gently pressed off skins and completed malolactic fermentation in French oak. Following 12 months maturation, the wine was bottled displaying distinctive regional Shiraz characters.
