Tasting Notes:

Deep burgundy to red brick. Lifted generous aromas of plush plum, blackberry and leather combine with American oak and some spice. Mouth filling palate showing beautiful complexity from time in bottle, it’s quite mellow with blackberry and plum while subtle hints of leather saddle and American oak all combine with silk like tannins and a slight hint of natural fruit acidity.


Technical:

A standout vintage careful fruit selection from premium low yielding vineyards in a year which provided perfect growing conditions. Small berries with abundant fruit flavours and natural acidity made for a winemaker’s dream. Picked at night then crushed and fermented for 12 days. Cold maceration provided further depth allowing us to build a wine with great breadth to ensure the ability to age well. Matured in American oak then individual parcels were selected for inclusion in this blend prior to being bottled.
