Bendigo Shiraz 2008 Cleanskin

Intense red, carmine and medium limpidity. Very good intensity, mostly showing dark fruits(cassis liqueur, plum, black olive), followed by  floral, (iris, violet), spicy (cinnamon, pepper) notes. after aeration the slight reductive character disappears to leave space to more fruit (apricot, fresh almond), some animal nuances and more spice. The intensity is as high as the diversity of aromas.

Flavours of dark berries and cocoa spice. Finish with firm chocolate tannins.


Tanunda Hill Reserve Barossa Valley Cabernet Merlot 2014

Rich dark red with violet notes. Rich cassis, dark chocolate and red berry notes on the nose. Soft silky blackberry core with dark plum notes from the Merlot. well integrated oak give a soft lingering finish.


Lou Miranda Estate Old Vine Barossa Valley Grenache 2015

Deep purples with vibrant indigo hue. Red fruits such as strawberry, cherry and plum with lifted violet and lavender florals. The bouquet is perfumed with subtle spice complexity. A smooth and elegant wine with inviting red fruit and blackberry sweetness on the front palate. Some gamey and savoury complexity adds length. Despite the ripe fruit and fleshy mouthfeel on entry, the wine finishes with plump velvety tannins and a lingering spice aftertaste. This wine can be enjoyed with confit duck, or venison.


Harcourt Valley Vineyards Mt Camel Range Heathcote Shiraz 2016

Harcourt Valley Vineyards sources some excellent fruit grown on these soils and crafts the wine with minimal intervention to reflect the terroir from where it comes.  The wine shows a typical deep red hue that you would expect from the region, however the palate delivers something a little more unexpected.

It shows a medium weight with a surprising softness and elegance. The use of French and American oak gives some vanillin characters to the dark fruit flavour of the wine.

Bendigo Shiraz 2008 Cleanskin

This elegant Shiraz is typical of the terroir-driven wines made by this producer. Matured in French oak barriques for 18 months.


Sidewood Estate Stablemate Adelaide Hills Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

Picked solely from the Maximilians vineyard at Verdun. Gently pressed, barrel matured and fermented in French oak for 18 months. Estate bottled.


Tanunda Hill Reserve Barossa Valley Cabernet Merlot 2014

The 2014 season was generally warm which allowed the grapes to ripen and develop strong flavours. A soft and smooth Barossa Cabernet (75%) and Merlot (25%) blended classically with some extended skin contact to soften the palate. This wine matured in older American oak barrels for 15 months to allow the fruit aromas to develop and the tannins to naturally soften.


Lou Miranda Estate Old Vine Barossa Valley Grenache 2015

The fruit is carefully selected and hand-picked from Old Barossa Valley vines, and typify the generous varietal characters of the Barossa. Only small open fermenters and gentle handling of the fruit are used to process the grapes to ensure quality from vine to bottle. The best seasoned oak is used to preserve primary fruit flavour. A small portion is un-oaked to enhance vibrancy.

An earthy, rustic shiraz whose dusty, spicy and meaty bouquet of small red and black berries, dark plums and gentle oak revels subtle nuances of graphite and mineral plus a faint herbal note. Full to medium-bodied it’s slow to emerge from the glass, unfolding spicy layers of blackberries, mulberries, dark plums and dark chocolate framed by firm, powdery tannins. It finishes long and earthy, a vivacious core of flavour and a soft acidity.

Deep purple-red; has much in common with the Rams Horn Block; while still built around savoury black fruits, is a little more fleshy.
