Tasting Notes:
Deep Amber Brown in colour With Red Tinges. Rich bouquet with complex characters along with some fresh fruit and wonderful integration of spirit. Incredibly rich liqueur raisin characters distinctive of a Christmas fruit cake. It shows developed fruit/oak characters that are nicely underpinned by the use of the fine brandy spirit. With an exceptional mellow mid palate and fine oak tannins, with a lusciousness that lingers on and on long after consumption.
Technical:
Blended from select parcels of old fortified tawny that have been aged in large and small oak barrels for an average of 10 years.

Delicious fortified red
This Normans is a deliciously aged fortified red with plenty of character. Very hard to get hold of such a tasty example of the style these days

Excellent Fortified
I bought 7 bottles of this from Burnley St. (which was all they had), tasted it and bought another 14 bottles online.
Norman's claim it is 10 years old but I think that, at least some of it, is older. It has a developed rancio nose with a gush of toffee, chocolate, dried fruit and spices. An elegant wine for a small price.

One of the very best
Tawny ports do not come any better than this one. Superbly crafted and aged. The nose hits you immediately pointing to its 10 year age. The rancio finish lingers. A treat for lovers of a good port

A great find
Burnt toffee taste leads to great depth and intensity of flavour. Streets ahead of the usual bottle shop offerings at this price point.

Sweeter than a tawny but fine with coffee and value for the price

It was a gift, but am sure it was good.
I don’t think it has been opened yet, which often happens with port. It’s best kept for the cooler months.

Great value tawny. Just what you'd expect in the quality but at an excellent price.
Great by the fire on a wintery evening.

Very rich
This port shows its bottle age through an almost viscous mouthfeel and richness that leads to a concentration of flavour. I enjoy the bouquet which also demonstrates this richness and intensity. Not a great wine, but very acceptable at this price range.

Sweet as cough syrup
Me and my dad had this wine. We both could not drink after one sip. Reminded me of cough syrup taste.
