A complex, intense wine, an exceptional vintage, a deep purple/crimson colour, a bouquet of black pepper, plumbs, capsicum and blueberry and flavours of blackberry, raspberry, liquorice, black olive, fresh ground coffee and toffee fine lingering tannins. Aged in French and American oak.

Sweet boysenberry and cherry flavours draw you in from the outset but it's the burst of candied orange and cranberry on the finish that really locks you in its favour. It's not the deepest of reds, and there's plenty of tangy acidity, but it rushes up to greet you and remains friendly throughout.
