STUNNING ADELAIDE HILLS SB BEATS NZ WINES AT THEIR OWN GAME WINNING A MEDAL AT THE NEW ZEALAND INTERNATIONAL WINE SHOW & RECEIVED A COMMENDATION AT THE DECANTER WORLD WINE AWARDS IN LONDON!
The Colonial Estate Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc 2010 is a great alternative to those bloody Marlborough Sauvignon Blancs and has recently shown why picking up a medal at a wine show in New Zealand! This is as fresh as they come from the 2010 vintage. Sourced from one of the Adelaide Hills finest vineyards this wine was handpicked in bunches during the night to protect the grapes structure, flavour and balance. This resulted in a wine that displays strong varietal intensity and stunning regional expression. Vibrant aromatics of lychee and passion fruit with hints of lemon zest showing through. The palate is fresh and stylish, great balance and length with acid providing structure to the fruit driven palate of zesty lime and grapefruit, leading into a long lasting green apple and pear finish.
Serving Suggestions: Enjoy this wine with fresh seafood or rich creamy pasta dishes.
