Tasting Notes:

The wine for the Estate Cleanskin 2013 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc was selected from our vineyards in New Zealand's Marlborough region, which enabled us to create a fresh, vibrant classic Sauvignon Blanc.

Marlborough has rocky, alluvial soils of volcanic origin, and a sheltered, cool, sunny climate, which is near perfect for grape growing, and produces Sauvignon Blanc grapes with intense flavours. Our vineyards are all registered and comply with with 'Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand' standards, and our viticulturist uses 'wine industry best practice' management.

Wines are fermented at low temperatures to retain freshness and flavour intensity, and blended for us by one of Marlborough's best winemakers. The wine has aromas of citrus fruits, gooseberry, tropical fruits and hints of thyme, with an elegant, crisp palate, enjoy.

FOUR STAR RATED - RAYMOND CHAN

Brilliant pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues. This has a light, tightly bound nose with up-front grassy, gooseberry fruit aromas revealing a little tropical fruit nuance in the glass. Dry to taste, the palate is crisp and racy with clean, refreshing acidity enlivening the flavours of gooseberries, passionfruit, herbs and grass. This has good intensity and drive and the balanced, lively mouthfeel carries the flavours to a light, zesty finish. This is a crisp ad racy, refreshing, classical Sauvignon Blanc with some good intensity of gooseberry flavours.

Pristine and fragrant, the attractive bouquet shows stone fruit, lime zest, floral and herbaceous aromas, leading to a lively palate that's juicy and refreshing. The wine is varietaly expressive and mouth-wateringly tasty.
