DESCRIPTION
Jardim Do Bomfim is a boutique producer sourcing grapes from a selection of growers and vineyards across South Australia’s premium viticultural regions including McLaren Vale, Langhorne Creek, Adelaide Hills and the Barossa Valley.
This delicious MUST-HAVE Sauv Blanc was sourced from the prestigious cool climate Adelaide Hills in South Australia. We managed to snavel some from a mate that had a wee bit leftover and boy does this give those Marlborough Sauvys a run for their money. Actually, in a blind tasting of 12 Sauv Blancs this wine came out way on top. Exactly the same wine under a different label from our mate snagged a whopping 94 point rating from one of Australia’s finest wine writers. Lovers of Sauvignon Blanc (And who isn’t) you will absolutely adore this wine. Under another label this wine sells for around $20 a bottle
"The 2009 Sauvignon Blanc gives expressive notes of grapefruit peel, green apples, guava and passionfruit with a hint of straw. Medium bodied with a good line of crisp acidity, it offers plenty of clean, slightly evolving flavors in the mouth and a long finish. Drink it now."
Lisa Perrotti-Brown
Aromas of freshly cut grass and passion fruit. The palate shows passion fruit, fresh herbs and green apple. It finishes with lovely natural acidity and floral characters.
