Tasting Notes:

Bright, pale straw-yellow colour, pale on rim. This has a softly full aromatic nose with youthful fermentation esters forming a melange with ripe pear fruit, jasmine florals and honeysuckle. Dryish to taste and medium-bodied, a deep, soft-textured core of pears, honey and lifted esters form a dense palate line.

The mouthfeel is soft from the fruit richness and restrained acidity, and the palate is one of balance. A subtle phenolic texture and alcohol generosity carries the flavours to a soft, dry finish. This is a soft-textured, aromatic Pinot Gris with pear and honied flavours to match.

Technical:

20% indigenous yeast fermented in old oak to 13.5% alc. and 4.0 g/L rs, the wine spending time on lees.
