Grove Mill Pinot Gris is an enticing combination of complexity and approachability. This one is no exception with just a little more elegance than is usual in the wine. Complex and distinctive, with a density of very ripe tropical fruit aromas, mango, and a touch of musk. Medium sweetness. This is a concentrated style with a great deal of poise, great texture and with a beautiful balance and structure. Very persistent finish.
This is the most complex wine we make and it starts with extremely ripe fruit. After crushing a portion of juice was run into new French oak barriques for hot fermentation on full juice solids. The remainder was fermented in stainless steel tanks, with temperature control. Yeast strains were chosen for aromatic characters and complexity.
