Pure and fresh, the palate has fresh cut lime along with citrus zest. Wet slate and green apple again features strongly. Driven by a racy natural acidity and linear minerality giving a long, lingering clean finish. Drink now or be rewarded with 10-15 years bottle development.
Sourced from our Watervale & Spring Farm vineyards. GM198 clone, VSP trellis, hand pruned, machine harvested. Destemmed and gently pressed taking only the free run juice, fermented in stainless steel using a neutral yeast strain. Stabilised, filtered and bottled young to capture the purity of riesling.
90 Point Rated - Stuart Knox The Real Review
"Ultra pale lemon to an almost water white rim. Lemon zest, lime cordial and sae spray aromatics. Tight and driven by zippy acidity. The palate offers lime zest and lemon juice notes alongside a salty mineral tone. Good length and precision. Will cellar very well."
Huon Hooke The Real Review
"Discreet lemon, lime, orange and dried flower aromas; palate is light and crisp, dry and straightforward, with a simplicity that could build with a little more time in bottle. It has the makings of a good riesling with a little more time."
Mike Bennie James Halliday Wine Companion
"From the vaunted subregion of Clare Valley, Polish Hill River. This is minerally plus, a vibrant and tense white of somewhat understated nature but with a good deal of zestiness and easy appeal. Scents of lime juice, bath salts, sea spray, candle wax and flint, with flavours set to Pink Lady, pink grapefruit, minty herbs and more saline minerally elements through its somewhat skittish and sherbety finish. Indeed, the lemony tang that finishes the wine is a bit adjunct to the mainframe of the rest, but overall, a pretty expression from this corner of Clare."
