DESCRIPTION
This delicious wine was made by Brian Light twice bushing McLaren Vale winemaker of the year and so he obviously knows how to make his reds.
Hooley Dooley Red is a blend of Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot from the McLaren Vale 76% and Adelaide Hills 24%.
Oak maturation was achieved through a mix of 3 & 4 year old French and American oak hogsheads. It underwent malo-lactic fermentation in oak, the components were racked, then blended and returned to oak for approximately 24 months.
Rich crimson with crimson hue. An aromatic nose of plum, blueberry, cherries, hints of herbaceousness and a little spicy oak. A full bodied palate featuring plum, blueberry, chocolate and spice with a subtle savoury twist, a little oak and soft tannins.
